We have just received this very sad news regarding the death of Steve Savage who I am sure you all have known in some capacity. This has come as a great shock to all of us. As John Collins says below our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time. May He Rest In Peace.
It is with real sadness that we learned yesterday (14/11) of the sudden and unexpected death of Steve Savage, our Director Of Rugby. Steve was citing for the IRB in Leipzig and died yesterday morning. He was a great servant of our club as player, 1st XV Captain, Past President and more recently as our DoR. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time. We will keep people informed of further arrangements.

WRFU - COUNTY RUGBY SAFE OFFICER
There is a need to appoint a person to the above volunteer role within the county. The successful candidate would oversee the duties of pitch side safety for all county representative sides. The rugby safe officer would ensure that those people providing pitch side duties and immediate care were properly trained and held the correct qualifications.
The rugby safe officer would keep a register of those people providing immediate care and also handle a budget for training to ensure correctly qualified people were available to provide this care.
The position does not require previous or current experience in immediate care but an enthusiasm to provide proper care for the participants in county rugby. Contact Charlie McGinty for further information/interest - 07801 869730
Please note from Jane Waterhouse -
I have had to change my email address to firstname.lastname@example.org
Will all clubs please remind their players about the need for keeping discipline on the field of play. So far this season we have reach 15 incidents, including several quite serious ones involving the Police. The RFU are aware of these figures and are concerned, as WRFU are, about rugby in Warwickshire.
If you feel you need support from the Warwickshire Discipline panel coming along to your club to talk to your players then please let me know. Also a reminder that if you have a red card issued please text or email me within the 48 hour time period and let me know.
Kim Challis, Disciplinary Secretary.
